The F-16 Fighting Falcon was originally designed as a "budget cutting" mulit-role aircraft. To say it has excelled would be a massive understatement. The "Viper" serves with many air forces around the world, spent time serving the US Navy as a 4th Generation adversary and it sill serves as the mount for the USAF Thunderbirds based at Nellis AFB outside Las Vegas, Nevada.
